Inside My Journey To Self Love & Boudoir Photography
I've been on my self love journey for many years. I know what it’s like to stare into the mirror and be ashamed of what you see. That constant feeling of “I’m not beautiful, worthy or good enough”, battling insecurities that trickle down into your relationships and comparing yourself to others or previous versions of yourself.
It took me years to embrace my body and believe in my own worth - it's something I still continue to grow at. Sound familiar? Trust me, I get it.
This self-doubt is one of the reasons I’m so passionate about boudoir photography.
I help other women see themselves in a whole new light — right now, not two years from now when you’re looking back at old photos wishing you appreciated yourself more.
Boudoir is a chance to celebrate you, everything you've been through and where you're at today, with the photo evidence to back it up. No more waiting for the “perfect body” or for some imaginary moment when you’ll finally feel good enough.
You’re already there and I get the honour of showing you that.
From Business School Drop Out To Boudoir Photographer
Photography has always been a passion of mine, even as a child. In 2004, I got my first professional camera (a Nikon SLR film - yup, I'm that old) and learned how to develop and edit film photography in a darkroom.
I studied photography at UVIC and MRU but it was always a "side hustle", as I pursued a career in the oil & gas industry.
In 2017, after a round of layoffs, I traveled to Africa where my perception of happiness and feeling alive was reconstructed. I could no longer ignore the cries of my soul craving passion, creativity and purpose. I took the leap of faith and started to pursue my dream career.
In 2018, "Boudoir By Laura Paige Photography" was born and the rest is history.
Why Boudoir Photography?
I fell in love with Boudoir photography because of the deeper meaning and impact it has on my clients lives. Transforming everyday women into runway ready supermodels is not only physical but psychological, emotional and spiritual. The powerful effects of the boudoir transformation trickles down into all aspects of life with a long lasting effect.
Hundreds of amazing women leave my studio with a new sense of self, confidence and empowerment, which is extremely rewarding.
I'm so grateful for every woman that steps into my studio, shares their story and allows me to play a role in their self love journey.

Life Beyond Photography
When I'm not in my studio, you'll find me traveling to tropical destinations, seeking new adventures, experiencing different cultures and doing all the water sports! During the summer, I balance working with my boudoir clients and living lake life in Shuswap, BC.
Wherever I go, my loyal Yorkie is always by my side! We even spent 2023 living in Yucatan, MX.
